Our at home rendering method:
Line your slow cooker for easy cleanup. Cut or chop beef kidney fat into small pieces and place into the slow cooker on low. Allow fat to render until beef cracklings float to the top, usually 6-8 hours. Strain cracklings and filter liquid into your container for keeping. Repeat the process and filter again for a more pure tallow to use in skincare.
